There’s a big difference between getting old and being a true elder, between withdrawing from active contribution to the community and embracing the call to share one’s wisdom and gifts. Aging can be a time of fading passion and purpose or an opportunity for new growth and beginnings. In a society where elderhood does not hold its historical place of honor, those called to this cultural and spiritual role must consciously claim it. If you are in or nearing your senior years and feeling this call, Embracing Elderhood is a rare opportunity to prepare yourself for an elderhood of continual growth, passion, and service.

Sky Meadow Retreat

Sky Meadow is a small, independent, family run retreat center and organic homestead offering small group retreats and workshops in an exceptionally quiet and private setting. We are not affiliated with any organized religion or group and welcome anyone who yearns for clarity, meaning, and a sense of connection with others. Sky Meadow is located less than an hour north of Montpelier and ST. Johnsbury, Vermont, near Greensboro and Hardwick, in the tiny town of Stannard. Driving times are approximately: • 1.5 hours from Burlington, Vermont • 2 hours from Montreal, Quebec • 4 hours from Boston • 6 hours from New York City We are only 45 minutes from Interstate 91 and our roads are in good shape year round, all the way to our front door. The nearest public transportation would be a bus or train to Montpelier, or airplane to Burlington.  For more information, you can contact Sky Meadow at office@skymeadowretreat.com or 802-533-2505.
